This policy applies to information provided to VVPS through the website, email, telephone or an enquiry form. It is general information and does not replace advice about your circumstances.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form, we collect the service you are interested in, your suburb or postcode, the property type, your name, your preferred contact method and the phone number or email address that goes with it, along with any description you choose to add. The form is sent to us by email; it is not stored in a database on this website.
If you contact us by email, phone or SMS, we collect what you share in that conversation, including any photos you send us. We also collect the information reasonably required for quoting, booking, coordinating a service and keeping records of the work.
Photos taken during a job
Where photos are taken for quoting or during work, they are used for the business purposes set out in our Photography & Media Policy, such as quoting, site assessment, job planning, documenting existing conditions, work and quality records, and insurance or business records. Using identifiable property imagery for public marketing is separate and needs your consent.
Website analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is being used. Google Analytics sets a first-party cookie so that repeat visits can be told apart, and by default it records visitor and session activity, an approximate location derived from the IP address, and browser and device information.
We also record a small number of general events, such as a quote form being started, a service being chosen from the list or a property calculator being used. These record the action only. They do not include your name, contact details or property address, and we do not connect them to your enquiry.
The enquiry form uses a short-lived session cookie so the form can be submitted securely. This website does not use a cookie banner or a consent tool, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Why we use information
- to respond to an enquiry and prepare a quote;
- to schedule, coordinate and improve services;
- to keep business records and meet legal obligations; and
- to protect the website from misuse.
Sharing and storage
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers that support email, website hosting, website analytics, payments or record keeping, only where needed for the work. We take reasonable steps to protect information and retain it only for as long as it is reasonably required.
