Concrete cleaning & sealing

Concrete Cleaning & Sealing

Concrete cleaning and sealing is one service: clean and prepare the slab first, then seal where the surface and condition allow.

The process

From Contamination To Protection

Porous concrete can darken, hold stains and weather faster once the surface is open to traffic, shade and organic growth. Concrete pressure cleaning and preparation come first. Concrete sealing is discussed only where the slab and condition make it a suitable next step — not as an automatic add-on.

Clean first

Stage 1 — Clean & Prepare

Concrete cleaning starts with concrete pressure cleaning. Pressure washing concrete, or another suitable method, uses reasonable pressure selected according to the surface type, condition and age. That is not one fixed pressure for every slab.

Where required, treatment helps remove dirt, grime, organic contamination, staining and surface residue, including concrete stain removal on suitable slabs. Concrete driveway cleaning sits in this first stage so the surface is prepared before sealing is discussed.

Stage 2 — Seal & Protect

After a suitable clean and preparation, concrete sealing can follow where the slab allows. The sealer is selected according to the concrete surface and condition. Sealing can help protect the surface, improve resistance to staining and contamination, make ongoing maintenance easier and improve the finished appearance.

Sealing is only recommended where it is appropriate. Driveway cleaning and sealing is quoted this way when a driveway is part of the agreed work. A sealed finish only where the surface and condition allow. Existing cracks, spalling, oil or failed coatings may still limit the result.
